In most cases, when running an WooCommerce online store, an order is shipped in a single package. However, there are situations where you may need to purchase multiple shipping labels for a single order. These scenarios include:
- Multiple Packages Required
Some orders include products that cannot be packed into a single box due to size, weight, or packaging limitations. In these cases, the order must be divided into multiple shipments. - Partial Shipments
Some items may be ready to ship right away, while others need to be shipped at a later time. Each shipment will require its own shipping label. - Return Labels
A return label may be needed in addition to the original shipping label, especially if you offer return shipping for your customers. - Lost or Damaged Shipments
If the original package is lost or damaged in transit, a new shipping label will be needed to send a replacement.
These are common scenarios where a store admin may need to generate more than one shipping label for a single order.
In this documentation, we’ll walk you through how to enable and configure the settings in the WooCommerce shipping plugins such as Shippo Shipping Pro, ShipStation Shipping Pro, EasyPost Shipping pro and other shipping plugins needed to create multiple shipping labels per order.
- Go to the “General Tab” in the settings of the shipping plugin.

- Enable the “Advanced Settings:

- Click “Save changes”
- Go to the “Shipping Labels” tab.

- Enable the “Allow Multiple Shipments”

- Click “Save changes”
This will enable you to generate and purchase multiple shipping labels for a single order.
