Manufacturer Information Guidelines

Manufacturer information means the name and details of the company or individual who produces your product.

Starting in early 2025, due to new U.S. tariff regulations, this manufacturer’s information is required only for U.S. DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) postage when shipping products with a Country of Origin (COO) in a region affected by these tariffs

If your product’s COO (Country of Origin)isn’t on the affected list, providing manufacturer information is optional and not needed for shipping.

Requirements for Purchasing U.S. DDP Postage (Taxed Countries) #

To purchase U.S. DDP postage, shipments must be cleared through a broker.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) requires additional details to ensure that all applicable taxes and duties are accurately assessed.
A key part of these requirements is Manufacturer Information, which includes:

  • Manufacturer ID
  • Manufacturer Name (Company or Person) – 35 characters max
  • Manufacturer Street Address – 35 characters max
  • Manufacturer City – 17 characters max
  • Manufacturer Province – 9 characters max
    • Tip: Do not enter the province code in the postal code field
  • Manufacturer Country – Must match the Country of Origin

✅ Providing correct manufacturer information is essential for smooth customs clearance and correct duty calculation under the new U.S. tariff policy.

📍Important Information #

  • Do not enter a placeholder like “Unknown” or N/A” If you don’t have the manufacturer’s information. This will lead to processing delays, and your shipment may be returned.
  • If you purchase your products from a wholesaler, you may list the wholesaler as the manufacturer only if you have proof that they declined to share the actual manufacturer’s details. U.S. Customs and Border Protection allows this exception when the wholesaler refuses to provide the manufacturer’s information.
