To ensure the smooth functioning of the live shipping rates after testing Shippo Shipping Pro, it is crucial to transition your website from testing mode to production mode before launching your e-commerce store.
This process involves two key steps:
- Switch the Shippo Shipping Pro plugin to production mode
- Switch your Shippo account to production mode
In this video, we will demonstrate how to do the above two steps properly.
- Switch the Shippo Shipping Pro plugin to production mode:
- Go to the “General” tab of the plugin in your website’s backend.
- Locate the option “Sandbox mode” and uncheck it.
- Save the settings to apply the changes.
2. Switch your Shippo account to production mode
- To begin, access your Shippo account and navigate to the “Carrier” tab.
- Within the “Carrier” tab, you will find a list of carriers along with their respective modes (test or production).
- Find the carrier you wish to switch to production mode, such as USPS.
- Click on the “Edit” option next to the carrier you selected.
- In the carrier settings, find the option “Enable test mode” and uncheck it.
- After unchecking the “Enable test mode” option, save the settings to apply the changes.
- Repeat the same process for any other carriers you want to switch from test mode to production mode, such as UPS.
By disabling the sandbox mode on both the shipping plugin and your Shippo account, you will activate the production mode, allowing your website to interact with the live shipping rates provided by Shippo Shipping Pro.
Once this adjustment is complete, you can proceed to launch your e-commerce store and initiate your business operations.
