• Shipping Zones: U.S. 

This setup ensures that if a customer purchases a product from the Furniture shipping class within a specified date range, the plugin will automatically offer free shipping as one of the available shipping methods at checkout during the promotional period.

1.Shipping package plugin (free plugin)

This plugin allows you to group products by condition, such as by product category, shipping class, by vendor. Set up the Sipping package plugin and configure it to group products by shipping class

In this sample configuration, we will set up package rules to group products by “Shipping Class.” 

Then the products in the “Furniture” shipping class will be placed in a separate package from those in other shipping classes. Configuration settings as screenshot below:

Test configuration: 

When you add items to the cart, the plugin automatically groups products by shipping class into separate shipping packages. This makes it easy to manage and display shipping costs based on the configured shipping rules. The below screenshot is the test result.

2. Free Shipping Per Package Pro for WooCommerce plugin 

To set up free shipping for specific shipping classes, you’ll need the Pro version of the “Free Shipping Per Package” plugin.

We will configure the rules that only products in the “Furniture” shipping class will qualify for free shipping, while products from other shipping classes will be placed in separate packages and will not be eligible for free shipping.

Go to the USA Shipping zone – Click on “Add Shipping Method”

 Click the “Flexible Shipping Per Package plugin”

Then you will see the new shipping method “Free Shipping” listed in the USA Shipping zone now as screenshot below. Click “Edit” to proceed with setting up the rule.

• You can customize the free shipping title to control how it appears to customers in the cart.
• In this sample, we rename it as “Free shipping on Furniture items”

Configure Shipping Classes Eligible for Free Shipping

• In the Shipping Classes column, select “furniture Shipping” 
• In the Shipping class condition, ensure select “All products have to match”

Configure Dates to Apply Free Shipping Conditions

• We will set the free shipping promotion period from February 10 to February 28.
• After that, click “Save Changes” to apply the configuration.

Testing the Configuration:
To test the setup, add two items to the cart: one from the “Furniture Shipping” class and another from a different shipping class.

The test results will show that the products are grouped into separate shipping packages based on their shipping classes. As expected, free shipping is offered to the furniture item, as shown in the screenshot below, while other items from different shipping classes display live shipping rates.
